Openbill Stork


An Openbill Stork (Scientific name: Anastomus) standing motionless among the plants at the water’s edge. They are large wading birds characterized by large bills, the mandibles of which do not meet except at the tip, a feature that develops only in the adult birds. Clicked at Bhigwan in Jan/2018.
