Estrilda astrild

While taking a morning stroll along the beach, hearing the chirp of birds I looked up to find Common Waxbills (Scientific name: Estrilda astrild), also called St Helena Waxbills, on the casuarina trees. Common Waxbills are small passerine bird belonging to the estrildid finch family.

Clicked at the beach in Tamassa resort at Bel Ombre, Mauritius in August/2017.
