Standing out


The Common Kingfisher (Scientific name: Alcedo atthis), also known as the Eurasian Kingfisher, and River Kingfisher, is a sparrow-sized bird with the typical short-tailed, large-headed kingfisher profile; it has blue upper-parts, orange underparts and a long bill. This one was clicked at Ranganathittu in Oct/2015.
