The papaya seeker
The Asian Koel (Scientific name: Eudynamys scolopaceus) is a frequent visitor in my locality. The shrill kik-kik-kik of the female is easily identifiable. But when I walked out to click her she was loathe to show her face at first. As was expected her destination was the papaya tree next door. Clicked at Trivandrum in Sept/2016.

Look who’s hiding her face behind the trunk of the jackfruit tree!

She then appears on the other side and condescends to show her face.

Then flies away to perch on the papaya tree.

Ready to check out the papayas, to find which one is ripe.
