Red-wattled Lapwing


A Red-wattled Lapwing (Scientific name: Vanellus indicus) in the grass at the edge of the lake at Qurum Park, ready to pick up some grub. The diet of the lapwing includes a range of insects, snails and other invertebrates, mostly picked from the ground. Clicked at Muscat, in Feb/2016.
